Stirchey and Brookside Parish Council has launched a scheme to give employees the opportunity to undertake volunteering opportunities. The Council is committed to supporting charities and local community groups and will encourage our employees to engage in volunteer activities by offering paid time off.
The benefits for staff will include learning new skills as well as using skills they have gained through their employment with Stirchley and Brookside Parish Council to benefit their own community or causes which are important to them.
Stirchley and Brookside Parish Council provides a number of volunteering opportunities including working in the community library, youth work and community gardening. Our volunteers are a valuable part of our team and we are proud to have them working alongside us.
Chair of Council Jackie Loveridge said: ‘we are proud of the volunteers who support the Parish Council in delivering services to our community; this scheme will give our employees the chance to give something back to their own communities’.
