GRANTS
Community Grants

Stirchley and Brookside Parish Council awards grants to voluntary and charitable bodies which provide services or facilities for people within the local community.

Community Grants funding is created annually as part of the precept and allocated under Section 137 of the Local Government Act 1972.

  • Focus will be on grant distribution to local groups and not larger, regional or national bodies.

  • Grants will be limited to a maximum amount of £500.00.

  • No applicant will receive more than one grant in any 12-month period.

  • Applications can only be considered from properly constituted groups.

  • Application will demonstrate a positive benefit, support and impact for residents within the Parish. Positive impact can comprise both social and economic benefit.

The Grants Policy sets how the Council will allocate within this framework. If you think your organisation meets the criteria set out in the policy please complete and return an application form to the Clerk at admin@sbpc.org.uk or The Sambrook Centre. Applications will be considered by Council. Successful organisations will be asked to complete a Grant Evaluation Form.
